The majority of pharmacy customers who smoke are willing to quit! For pharmacies, supporting smokers on their way to quitting smoking is a good way of retaining customers and demonstrating their advisory skills. However, providing smoking cessation advice in pharmacies is more than just providing information about medicines and how to dispense them. It requires some background knowledge about smoking in order to be able to provide customers with targeted advice - and, above all, motivational support.
