Description
Our society is getting older on average. As a result, various diseases are becoming more common, including dementia. According to figures from the German Alzheimer's Association, 1.6 million patients are affected and 300,000 new cases are added every year (2019). The WHO counts 10 million people affected by dementia in its European region. Worldwide, the WHO estimates that 50 million people are affected. It estimates that this figure will rise to 75 million over the next ten years.
