Advice for breast cancer patients

Description

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in Germany, with around 69,000 new cases every year (according to the RKI, ZfKD).

Pharmaceutical advice is of great importance here. What can the pharmacy do? It can provide appropriate, reliable information after the diagnosis has been made. During chemotherapy, the correct use of medicines should be explained, especially supportive medication. Once these major, important therapeutic steps have been taken, support is often needed for further treatment, for example with aromatase inhibitors, which can take years.

This section provides you with background knowledge on breast cancer and the various treatment options. You will acquire the necessary knowledge to provide breast cancer patients with the best possible support in the pharmacy.
