Recognizing anxiety patients and providing sensitive advice

Description

Anxiety is a completely normal feeling like anger, joy or rage - in many cases it is essential for survival. But what if you are afraid of common everyday situations that you cannot avoid? Such everyday fears affect many people. Depending on the survey, the lifetime prevalence is between 15 and 25 %. Anxiety disorders and the resulting symptoms such as circling thoughts, inner restlessness and sleep disorders are therefore also an important topic for advice in pharmacies. In this topic section, you will gain the necessary knowledge about the development of anxiety, the definition of different forms of anxiety, scales for measuring anxiety and possible non-drug and drug therapy options.
